If you follow me on Instagram you probably know that I visited my parents in the Limousin region in France back in July. After ten years here, home for me is definitely Dublin but I still love visiting my family once a year in that part of France, especially in the summer.
It's the complete opposite to my life in Dublin: right in the middle of nowhere, there aren't many shops or restaurants and everything (and everyone) seem to go at a slower pace, which is perfect when you're on holiday. I have the dream of making my parents' place a guesthouse someday (when I'll be old) where I'll serve both traditional French and Irish breakfasts, sure why not?
I spent a few very relaxing days: eating 4 different types of cheese and drinking a glass of wine at each meal except breakfast, taking naps in the garden, foraging mushrooms in the forest, visiting food markets and most of all catching up with my loved ones. Below are some pictures I took while living Ze perfect French life, they're already making me feel a bit nostalgic but not to worry, I'll be back next year!
PS: I've published my first vlog ever while in France and here it is if you want to have a look at it!
