Dreamy Parisian Tea Room: Carette
I was doing a little bit of cleaning on my blog and found this article about Carette back in my drafts, I completely forgot about it. So today I'm sharing a bit of Parisian love, nothing like colourful French macarons to brighten up a grey day in Ireland.
One of my favourite places in Paris is Places des Vosges which is a gorgeous square right in the middle of the Marais District. On one side of this pretty square you'll find one the most beautiful tea rooms in Paris: Carette. It's a bit like Ladurée if you prefer but not as well known.
Now eating in Carette is obnoxiously expensive with salads or sandwiches costing between €20 and €30 or teas that cost almost a tenner but they have delicious macarons and baked goods such as croissants, almond croissants, financiers which can be bought to take away and enjoyed in the beautiful park. What are holidays for if you can't splurge a little?
It's not somewhere you'd go everyday, but if you find yourself in Paris, it's a real treat.
